Silverudds (aka Isbars) (green egg layers)
These lively little birds have an impressive combination of favourable traits. They're best known for high production of large, gorgeous green eggs. They're calm but also prolific foragers when allowed to free range. They're a small-medium sized bird (3.5lb hens, 5.5lb roosters) so their relative egg size is impressive.

Our Flock & Update for 2022 Season
2021 was our first year raising Silverudds so we focused on creating a solid foundation for our flock, hatching out lots of chicks and only keeping the best for our potential 2022 breeders. We also became members of the Silverudd's Association to learn more about the proper breeding goals for this unique breed.
We will have blue and splash varieties available in 2022 (black available the following year).
Availability for 2022
We're only breeding our best trios in 2022 to make sure that we maintain the strongest foundation for our flock so we will have limited availability this year. They will be blues and splashes this year.
Preorder early because aside from fulfilling the preorders, we're not likely to have extra chicks during the season.
Hatching Eggs: Due to how selective we were with our breeders for the 2022 season, we're only likely to have 1 dozen eggs/week available. Feel free to add more to your order if you'd like, but if you do I might need to ship them separately which will require a second shipping charge. Order above by adding to your cart and placing your order. Please also click here for details on purchasing hatching eggs from us.
